About Cork :

Cork fabric ( also called cork leather) is made from the bark of the Cork Oak tree. The bark is harvested from the trees without cutting them down, and this amazing tree regrows it’s bark. The trees live out their natural lives spanning upwards of 200 years, and we are able to harvest the bark every 9 years. Not only is this one of the most sustainable natural products, but the bark has astonishing natural characteristics as well. Cork bark is naturally water repellent, anti microbial and incredibly tough. This dry bark material is naturally flexible, so unlike leather it needs no conditioning over time. The best part is that you can wash it with soap and water and keep it clean!
